Public DataWeb systems have been
designed to offer a high level of data transfer
security and secure Internet access, both for the kiosks and
for the Wi-Fi network. Because many of our clients are city
authorities we cannot allow uncontrolled internet access. However we do not
operate a 'walled garden' either, as this can be restrictive for the
user navigation.
We are the only public access kiosk provider that allows
controlled but full internet
roaming.
We've implemented multiple layers of security:
- banned lists
- barred keywords
- sentence text indexing and
monitoring
- background AVG/CyberCity/Symantec/Norton
antivirus and antiSpyware/Adware systems.
Many public kiosks have been
breached and displayed unwholesome material free, and
courtesy of their city authority budget!
In all the many years of operating our terminals, we have
never had such a misfortune, and this is due to our
pre-emptive diligence.
